WordPress!

A year and four months ago, I started this blog as a way to express myself online. Since then, many things have happened in my life, and this blog was my way of sharing these accomplishments, discoveries, and occurrences with the world. Since then, this blog has changed names three times, changed function four times, and changed themes five times. Unfortunately, this history, a entire year of my life, has been lost. Today, I am starting anew.

In this past year I had taken up web design, and created quite a few websites. Then I looked at this blog and thought, “Why don’t I design my own blog?” I started out earlier this year, but realized that it was too great a project for the three week deadline I had set for it. I pushed back the deadline to July 1st, today. And here is my design. It isn’t complete, and will be improved upon in the next couple of weeks (actually, I plan to improve upon it as I use it and notice features I’m used to seeing missing). I hope you like it.

Of course, if anyone has any comments or recommendations, please don’t hesitate to speak up.

  3. Nice design! What I miss (not a design issue) is a history of your posts.

Btw, are you aware that on at least IE7 and FF3 your pages, when tab is focused, take 100% of the CPU? Not sure what causes it, but it seems a design flaw and it makes your pages render/scroll slowly and this typing is slow as well… Thought you’d want to know ;-)

    • Let me rephrase: it totally blocks IE7, making it so slow that I have to kill the process. On FF3, I at least can still work…

I’ll look into the CPU issue problem. Thanks for letting me know. :)
As for missing the history of my posts… that’s actually part of the reason I decided to do the redesign — I had some information on this blog in the past that I would rather not turn up when I’m showing someone my accomplishments for a job application or something similar. :P
